20-year-old Jordan P. Hartpence (Fordyce, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Saturday, June 1, 2019.
At approximately 8:34 a.m. Ms. Hartpence was driving west on Highway 270 West in Grant County. 24-year-old Kendale L. Watts (Fordyce, AR) was a passenger in the vehicle.
A 2014 Chevrolet vehicle was traveling west on Highway 270 behind Ms. Hartpence’s vehicle (Ford).
An 18-wheeler (2020 Kenworth semi-truck) was traveling east on Highway 270.
Ms. Hartpence’s vehicle crossed the centerline and struck the trailer portion of the 18-wheeler. The Chevrolet vehicle traveling behind Ms. Hartpence’s vehicle struck debris following the initial accident.
Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
