Minor Fatally Injured in Highway 167 Wreck

An unidentified male minor was fatally injured in an accident that occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2019.

Shortly before 2:30 p.m. the minor who was fatally injured was the passenger in a 2012 Toyota Corolla traveling north on U.S. Highway 67 (167) in Pulaski County between Jacksonville and Cabot.

A 1999 GMC Yukon with a trailer was disabled on the shoulder of U.S 167 near mile marker 15. The vehicle the minor was traveling in struck the trailer of the GMC Yukon before losing control and overturning.

38-year-old Osmani Silva (Cabot, AR) was driving the 2012 Toyota Corolla at the time of the accident. A second unidentified male minor was a passenger in the vehicle as well.

67-year-old George Strong and 55-year-old Donald Jordan were passengers in the GMC Yukon vehicle.

Conditions at the time were reportedly clear and dry.
