Wrong Way Vehicle on I-40 Leads to Fatal Wreck
58-year-old Gary Moore (Chicago, IL) was fatally injured in an accident on Sunday, May 15, 2022.
At approximately 3:12 p.m. Mr. Moore was traveling north on State Highway 17 when a southbound vehicle (2018 Dodge Ram) attempted a lefthand turn onto State Highway 241. The Dodge vehicle struck Mr. Moore’s vehicle (2021 Jeep). The collision forced Mr. Moore’s vehicle into the ditch on the east side of Highway 17.
Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
