Vehicle Catches Fire in Fatal Sheridan Wreck

20-year-old Edward Cave Jr. (Sheridan, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Tuesday, December 4.

Mr. Cave Jr. was traveling north on Highway 167 North just south of Grant County Rd 167041 in a 1995 Jeep Wrangler. 35-year-old Megan Crews (North Little Rock, AR) was traveling south on Highway 167 North in a 2006 Honda. Ms. Crews’ vehicle crossed the centerline and struck Mr. Cave Jr.’s vehicle head-on.

Mr. Cave Jr.’s vehicle caught fire following the crash. According to the Grant County coroner, Mr. Edward Cave Jr. was deceased as a result of the collision.

According to Arkansas State Police, “this accident is under investigation by the Arkansas crime lab to confirm the identity of the driver of [the 1995 Jeep] to 100%.” The full preliminary fatal crash summary is available HERE.
