Mountain Home Teenager Fatally Injured in Highway 202 Wreck

17-year-old Derrick Adams (Mountain Home, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Thursday, September 26, 2019.

At approximately 9:17 a.m. Mr. Adams was driving west on State Highway 202 near Oakland, roughly 2 miles west of the Baxter County line, when his vehicle (1998 Toyota Avalon) left the roadway while attempting to negotiate a right-hand curve and struck a utility pole before striking a tree.

4 other passengers (3 females, 1 male) sustained injuries during the accident, though their names have not been identified.

Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
