Carla Stovall Fatally Injured in Collision Near Malvern

22-year-old Carla Stovall (Malvern, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Wednesday, May 11, 2022.

At approximately 10:47 p.m. Ms. Stovall was one of two passengers in a vehicle (2007 Kia Forte) traveling west on Highway 270 near Rockport. An eastbound vehicle (2013 Honda) crossed the centerline and struck Ms. Stovall’s vehicle head-on in the westbound lanes of traffic.

There were four additional injured including an unidentified male minor. 20-year-old Blake Albery (Malvern, AR), 18-year-old Lindsey Watkins (Hot Springs, AR), and 18-year-old Lauren Bigham (Hot Springs, AR) also sustained injuries in the collision.

Those injured were transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Hot Springs, UAMS in Little Rock, Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, and Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock.

Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
