Greenbrier Man Fatally Injured in Hwy 65 Collision
19-year-old Brayshawn Ranson (Dermott, AR), 50-year-old Tommy Figures (Dermott, AR), 56-year-old Terry King (Dermott, AR), 65-year-old Regina Jackson (Dermott, AR), and 73-year-old Geraldine Prewitt (McGehee, AR) were all fatally injured in an accident on Monday, June 6, 2022.
At approximately 2:45 p.m. Mr. Ranson, Mr. Figures, Mr. King, Ms. Jackson, and Ms. Prewitt were all passengers in a vehicle (2018 Ford) traveling west on State Highway 35. Their vehicle attempted to cross U.S. 65 but was struck by a southbound 18-wheeler (2018 Freightliner) on the passenger side.
The driver of the 18-wheeler, 52-year-old Charles Fowler (Brinkley, AR), sustained injuries in the collision. The driver of the Ford vehicle, 47-year-old Susan Kennedy (Arkansas City, AR), and 3 additional passengers also sustained injuries in the collision. Those injured include 18-year-old Zantress Willis (Dermott, AR), 21-year-old Robert Bell (Dermott, AR), and 25-year-old Cebra Jordan (Dermott, AR).
Those injured were transported to McGehee Hospital, Chicot Memorial Medical Center, and UAMS in Little Rock.
