Sydney Owens Fatally Struck in Fort Smith
66-year-old Billy Hardy (Camden, AR) was fatally injured in a wreck that took place this weekend on Saturday, July 11, 2020.
At approximately 1:00 a.m. Mr. Hardy was walking south on the righthand shoulder of Interstate 530 between Exit 7 and Exit 9 south of Little Rock. Near mile marker 8.3 Mr. Hardy was struck by a southbound vehicle. “For unknown reasons, the driver of [the unidentified vehicle] drove onto the shoulder and struck [Mr. Hardy] in the rear causing fatal injuries.” The unidentified vehicle fled the scene.
Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
