43-year-old Jeri Winiecki (Hot Springs, Arkansas) was fatally injured in an accident on Thursday, January 8, 2026.
At approximately 3:26 p.m. Ms. Jeri Winiecki was traveling east on Highway 270 between Hot Springs and Malvern near Magnet Cove when a westbound vehicle crossed the centerline. The westbound vehicle (2010 Cadillac) collided head-on with Ms. Winiecki’s vehicle (2025 Buick) in the eastbound lanes of traffic. Ms. Winiecki’s vehicle left the roadway and overturned following the initial collision. Ms. Winiecki sustained fatal injuries in the collision.
18-year-old Ryan Winiecki (Hot Springs, AR) was a passenger in the vehicle and sustained injuries.
Additionally, 48-year-old Ricky Smith (Leola, AR), 47-year-old Sonya Brown (Carthage, AR), and 46-year-old Gordon Barner (Pine Bluff, AR) sustained injuries in the accident.
Those injured were transported to CHI St. Vincent Hospital and Baptist Medical Center.
Weather conditions were cloudy and road conditions were wet at the time of the accident.
