Rainy Conditions Result in Fatal Jackson County Wreck

25-year-old Shannah Lee Malone (Batesville, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

Shortly before 3:30 p.m. Ms. Malone was traveling south on State Highway 69 near Newport when her vehicle (2006 Chevrolet) crossed the centerline under wet road conditions. Ms. Malone’s vehicle collided with a northbound vehicle (1996 GMC).

43-year-old Travis Gray Davis (Newport, AR) sustained injuries in the collision and was transported to UAMS in Little Rock.

Weather conditions were rainy and road conditions wet at the time of the accident.
