Crystal Gibson Fatally Injured in Car Accident Near Tillar

41-year-old Crystal Gibson (Tillar, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Wednesday, February 23, 2022.

At approximately 1:45 a.m. Ms. Gibson was traveling west on State Highway 278E between Tillar and Monticello in rural Drew County. An eastbound 18-wheeler (2012 Freightliner) lost control on wet roads while navigating a curve and crossed the centerline. The 18-wheeler collided with Ms. Gibson’s vehicle (2008 Ford Expedition) in the westbound lane of traffic.

Ms. Gibson was transported to McGehee Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Weather conditions were rainy and road conditions wet at the time of the accident.
