Midnight Wreck Near Augustus Claims the Life of Amanda Barker

28-year-old Amanda Shea Barker (Augustus, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Sunday, October 11, 2020.

Shortly after 12:00 a.m. Ms. Barker was a passenger in a vehicle (2017 Jeep Wrangler) traveling south on Highway 33. Ms. Barker’s vehicle left failed to navigate a curve and left the roadway near County Road 713 before striking an embankment and overturning.

The driver and an additional passenger were not injured in the accident.

Weather conditions were reportedly cloudy and road conditions were wet at the time of the accident.
