Vehicle Hydroplanes on I-40, Killing Driver, John Brunson

67-year-old John Brunson (Jacksonville, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Monday, September 23, 2019.

Shortly before 2:00 p.m. Mr. Brunson was driving west on Interstate 40 West near mile marker 167 (Lonoke) when his vehicle (2015 Dodge Ram 1500) began to hydroplane. Mr. Brunson’s vehicle left the roadway to the south and traveled into the median before striking several trees.

Weather conditions were rainy and road conditions wet at the time of the accident.
