68-year-old Shirley Ames Fatally Struck on I-430 Shirley Ames, of Russellville, was fatally injured after she attempted to retrieve something on Interstate 430 shortly after 6:45 p.m. on Monday, February 5th.
The accident occurred near the Crystal Hill Road exit in North Little Rock as Ms. Ames reportedly stepped onto Interstate 430 to retrieve an unknown item. Ms. Ames was hit by a northbound Cadillac CTS.
Conditions at the time of the crash were said to be clear and dry.
