Head-On Collision on Hwy 35 Proves Fatal
An unidentified minor was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Thursday, August 5, 2019.
Shortly before 7:00 a.m. a head-on collision involving a minor passenger occurred on Highway 1 near Punkin Center Road.
31-year-old Jessica Walker (Harrisburg, AR) was driving north on Highway 1 and 59-year-old William Correa (Harrisburg, AR) was driving south on Highway 1 at the time of the accident.
Mr. Correa’s vehicle (1999 Ford F150) crossed the center line and struck Ms. Walker’s vehicle (2014 Lincoln MKZ) head-on. The minor who was fatally injured was a passenger in Ms. Walker’s vehicle.
Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
