Little Rock Biker Fatally Injured on Stagecoach Road
58-year-old Van Stafford (Fort Smith, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.
At approximately 12:26 p.m. Mr. Van Stafford was traveling on Jenny Lind Road at the intersection with Cavanaugh in Fort Smith on his bicycle. A 2012 Buick vehicle traveling west on Cavanaugh was stopped at the red light. The Buick vehicle attempted to turn north onto Jenny Lind Road when it struck Mr. Stafford’s bicycle.
Mr. Stafford was transported to Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
