Wet Roads Lead to Fatal Highway 8 Car Accident on Friday

29-year-old Drackus Charleston (Hamburg, AR) and 31-year-old Sharrie Williams (Crossett, AR) were both fatally injured in an accident on Friday, September 17, 2021.

At approximately 3:50 p.m. Ms. Williams was driving west on State Highway 8 in Fountain Hill when her vehicle (2010 Toyota) lost control on wet roads and crossed the centerline near State Highway 133. Ms. Williams’ vehicle struck an eastbound 18-wheeler (2018 Kenworth).

Mr. Charleston was a passenger in the vehicle.

Weather conditions were rainy and road conditions wet at the time of the accident.
