Highway 88 Collision Near Mena Proves Fatal on Friday

48-year-old Shannon Carol Montgomery (McAlester, AR) and 60-year-old Jeffery Lee Miller (McAlester, AR) were both fatally injured in an accident on Friday, February 25, 2022.

At approximately 1:15 p.m. Mr. Miller was driving east on State Highway 88 near Mena when his vehicle entered the westbound lanes of traffic. Mr. Miller’s vehicle (2011 Jeep) collided with a westbound vehicle (1998 International Harv. C.).

Ms. Montgomery was a passenger in the eastbound vehicle.

52-year-old Marcia Diane Blosser (Hot Springs Village, AR) and 52-year-old John E. Blosser (Hot Springs Village, AR) were both traveling in the westbound vehicle and sustained injuries in the collision. Mr. Blosser and Ms. Blosser were transported with injuries to Mena Medical Center.
