Rudolph Jeffus Fatally Injured in Arkansas Collision on Hwy 9

77-year-old Rudolph S. Jeffus (Camden, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Wednesday, February 25, 2021.

At approximately 10:06 a.m. Mr. Jeffus was traveling south on State Highway 9 between Sparkman and Fordyce. According to police, a westbound vehicle (2019 Chevrolet) on State Highway 273 “failed to obey a stop sign at the intersection of State Highway 9 and State Highway 273.” Mr. Jeffus was unable to avoid a collision and his 18-wheeler (2006 Peterbilt) struck the rear of the westbound vehicle before leaving the roadway and striking a tree.

26-year-old Sierra L. Beets (Bearden, AR) and an unidentified female minor sustained injuries and were transported to Ouachita County Medical Center.
