41-year-old Rhonda Burnett (Marked Tree, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Friday, October 2, 2020. Additionally, 64-year-old Ronald Burnett (Marked Tree, AR) and an unidentified female minor were both injured in the collision.
At approximately 4:23 p.m. Ms. Burnett (and passengers) was traveling north on the Interstate 55 Service Road near James Mill Road when she attempted to merge onto I-55 North. Ms. Burnett’s vehicle (2005 Chevrolet Malibu) was struck by a southbound vehicle (2017 Ford F150) that failed to yield to Ms. Burnett’s vehicle.
Those injured were transported to Regional One Le bonheur.
Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
