72-year-old Rex Thompson (Marianna, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Friday, May 31, 2019.

At approximately 4:36 p.m. Mr. Thompson was driving north on State Highway 121 West in Lee County. While attempting to navigate a curve, Mr. Thompson’s vehicle (2015 GMC Sierra) crossed the centerline. Mr. Thompson then swerved to miss oncoming southbound traffic and left the roadway. Mr Thompson’s vehicle struck an embankment.

Conditions were reportedly clear and dry at the time of the accident.
