Miller County Wreck Claims the Life of Passenger, Mildred Brinkley

84-year-old Mildred Brinkley, of Fulton, Arkansas, was fatally injured in a two-vehicle collision on Tuesday, May 15. Shortly before 4:30 p.m. Joseph Brinkley was driving north on Highway 67 near the I-30 exit #12 in a 1999 Chevy Impala. Mr. Brinkley failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a southbound 1999 Chevrolet pickup in the southbound lane of Highway 67. Mr. Brinkley and the other driver, Mr. Chester Johnson (58) were both injured. The passenger, Ms. Brinkley, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Miller County coroner.

Conditions at the time were reportedly clear and dry.
