Michael Wilson Loses Life in Newton County Accident

39-year-old Michael D. Wilson (St. Louis) was fatally injured in an accident that took place at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12.

Mr. Wilson and a 29-year-old passenger, Leslie Randle (Bel Ridge), were traveling south on State Highway 43 near Compton. Mr. Wilson’s 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 left the roadway and struck a tree before running into a barbed wire fence.

Ms. Randle was transported to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center with injuries.

Weather conditions were reportedly cloudy and road conditions dry at the time of the accident.
