Foggy Conditions Result in Fatal Crash in Randolph County, AR

25-year-old Megan Crawford (Ravenden Springs, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Wednesday, December 29, 2021.

At approximately 12:30 a.m. Ms. Crawford was traveling north on U.S. 67 in Randolph County when her vehicle (2013 GMC Yukon) attempted to pass a northbound 18-wheeler (2016 Freightliner). Ms. Crawford’s vehicle collided head-on with a southbound 18-wheeler (2016 Volvo) before then striking the driver’s side of the northbound Freightliner semi-truck.

Passenger, 30-year-old Shane Owens (Powhatan, AR), sustained injuries in the collision and was transported to St. Bernard’s Five Rivers Hospital.

Weather conditions were foggy and road conditions wet at the time of the accident.
