Teenager Loses Life in Fatal Car Accident Early Monday Morning

19-year-old Makaylee D. Neal (Crossett, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Monday, September 19, 2022.

At approximately 5:20 a.m. Ms. Makaylee Neal was traveling west on State Highway 8 between Warren and New Edinburg when her vehicle (2015 Chevy Cruze) crossed the center line “for unknown reasons.” Ms. Neal’s vehicle collided with an eastbound vehicle (2022 Toyota Corolla).

The driver of the eastbound Toyota vehicle, 49-year-old Holly A. Harrell (New Edinburg, AR) sustained injuries in the collision. Also, an unidentified minor passenger in the Chevy vehicle sustained injuries in the accident.

Those injured were transported to Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
