Fatal Labor Day Wreck on Ouachita River Bridge in Malvern

33-year-old Kristiana Louise Williamson (Alma, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Monday, September 3. The accident occurred on the State Highway 84 bridge crossing the Ouachita River.

Shortly before 6:00 p.m. Ms. Williamson was headed east on Highway 84 in a 2009 Chevrolet HHR. April Ford (Hot Springs, AR) was headed west on Highway 84 in a 2011 Dodge Nitro when she lost control while negotiating a curve. Ms. Ford’s vehicle left the highway but overcorrected and re-entered the highway crossing into oncoming traffic and colliding head-on with Ms. Williamson’s vehicle.

Conditions at the time were reportedly clear and dry.
