Wrong Way Vehicle on I-40 Leads to Fatal Wreck
43-year-old Kelly Leann Ashcraft (Rison, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.
At approximately 7:10 p.m. Ms. Ashcraft was traveling north on State Highway 530 in Lincoln County near the Cleveland County line. Ms. Ashcraft’s vehicle (2019 Honda Accord) crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a southbound vehicle (2020 Kia Sorento). Ms. Ashcraft was transported to Jefferson Regional Medical Center where she later succumbed to her injuries.
31-year-old Monica Renae Fresen (Star City, AR) was driving the southbound vehicle and sustained injuries in the collision.
