Collision on Highway 25 in Conway Proves Fatal on Tuesday

32-year-old Jonathan R. Jones (Greenbrier, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Tuesday, May 18, 2021.

At approximately 6:00 a.m. Mr. Jones’ vehicle (1996 Mercury Marquis) was stopped on Highway 25 facing south in the northbound lane of traffic “for unknown reasons.”

26-year-old Derek T. Beckner (Conway, AR) was traveling north on Highway 25 when his vehicle (1999 Jeep Cherokee) struck Mr. Jones’ vehicle in the northbound lane of traffic. Mr. Beckner was transported with injuries to Baptist Health Medical Center in Conway.

Weather conditions were rainy and road conditions wet at the time of the accident.
