24-year-old Jesus Rodriguez III (Laredo, TX) was fatally injured in a trucking accident on Tuesday, August 21.
At approximately 7:10 p.m., Mr. Rodriguez was headed south on State Highway 9 in Perry County traveling in a 2006 Kenworth semi-truck. Mr. Rodriguez lost control of the tractor-trailer while navigating a curve and overturned. The 18-wheeler left the highway and struck several trees before coming to a rest.
Conditions at the time were reportedly clear and dry.
