Sydney Owens Fatally Struck in Fort Smith
29-year-old Jeremy Tilson (West Helena, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Friday, September 18, 2020.
At approximately 7:35 a.m. Mr. Tilson was a passenger in a vehicle fleeing from Arkansas County Deputies on State Highway 1 near St. Charles. The driver of the vehicle lost control of the vehicle (2008 Cadillac Escalade) causing the vehicle to leave the roadway before striking a tree, going airborne and then overturning. Mr. Tilson sustained fatal injuries while being ejected from the vehicle.
The driver, 28-year-old Carlton Otey (Helena, AR), and 4 additional passengers; 25-year-old Delane Bedford (West Helena, AR), 23-year-old Deonta Miller (West Helena, AR), and 24-year-old Leceedric Hunter (West Helena, AR) sustained injuries during the incident.
Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
