Woman Struck on Highway 167 in Cave City
32-year-old Jasmine Crawford (St. Louis) was fatally injured in an accident on Monday, June 7, 2021.
At approximately 1:30 p.m. Ms. Crawford was traveling west on I-30 near Malvern when her vehicle (2002 Chevrolet) lost control in the inside lane of traffic and crossed into the outside lane, sideswiping the front of a westbound vehicle (2013 Isuzu). Road conditions were wet at the time of the accident.
There were five minor passengers in Ms. Crawford’s vehicle. Those injured were transported with injuries to Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
51-year-old Joel Gillies (Chesapeake) was driving the westbound Isuzu vehicle and sustained injuries in the collision. Mr. Gillies was transported to Baptist Health.
Weather conditions were cloudy and road conditions wet.
