59-year-old James Willard Tomes (Mountain Home, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Saturday, June 8, 2019.
At approximately 7:25 p.m. Mr. Tomes was driving east on Highway 178 just east of Mountain Home when his vehicle ran off the roadway. Mr. Tomes vehicle (2001 Chevrolet pick-up truck) ran off the right side of the road before over-correcting, losing control, and striking a dirt embankment.
Conditions at the time were reportedly clear and dry.
