Fatal Collision on US 79 Near Pine Bluff, AR
34-year-old Jake B. Russell (Clarksville, TN) was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Sunday, January 12, 2020.
At approximately 5:30 p.m. Mr. Russell was traveling east on Southland Drive just west of Martin Luther King Drive in West Memphis when an 18-wheeler (2018 Freightliner) turned east off a private drive onto Southland Drive. Mr. Russell’s vehicle (2013 GMC) collided with the rear of the semi-truck’s trailer.
Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
