Highway 270 Wreck Claims One Life, Injures Three Additional

An unidentified minor was fatally injured in an accident on Monday, September 5, 2022.

At approximately 8:09 p.m. the minor was a passenger in a vehicle traveling west on Highway 270 in Hot Spring County. The vehicle (2013 Dodge Caravan) left the roadway before colliding with a tree. The minor male passenger sustained fatal injuries.

The driver, 26-year-old David Lee Collins (Jonesboro, AR), sustained injuries in the collision. 27-year-old Evan Danielle Watson (Malvern, AR) and an additional unidentified minor passenger also sustained injuries in the accident. Those injured were transported to CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs and UAMS in Little Rock.
