80-year-old Pedestrian Fatally Hit on Highway 412

80-year-old Glen Maple (Light, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Tuesday, November 20 at approximately 5:15 a.m.

Mr. Maple was walking on Highway 412 West at the intersection of Highway 228 in Light, Arkansas when he was struck by an eastbound 2005 Dodge pick-up truck. The vehicle was partially stopped on the roadway when an eastbound 2003 Chevrolet pick-up truck attempted to avoid the Dodge vehicle and struck Mr. Maple a second time.

Conditions at the time of the accident were reportedly clear and dry.
