Vehicle Loses Control on Icy Roads in Little Rock Resulting in Fatal Wreck

31-year-old Gilberto Sanchez (Little Rock, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Thursday, January 24, 2019.

At approximately 6:00 a.m. a 2018 KW semi-truck was stopped in traffic due to icy conditions on Interstate 440 near the Springer Boulevard Exit. Mr. Sanchez was traveling east on I-440 in a 2010 Nissan Sentra when he approached the Springer Boulevard exit and lost control of his vehicle. Mr. Sanchez’s vehicle rotated approximately 90 degrees before striking the rear of the 18-wheeler stopped in traffic.

Weather conditions were reportedly clear and road conditions icy at the time of the accident.
