First Victim in Deadly I-30 Collision on Wednesday Identified

65-year-old George Thomas Adamson III (Hope, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Wednesday, June 8, 2022.

At approximately 12:33 p.m. Mr. Adamson was traveling west on I-30 near mile marker 85 when his vehicle (1995 Dodge 3500) was forced to leave the roadway in an attempt to avoid colliding with two vehicles involved in a prior accident.

At least a dozen vehicles were involved in the multi-car collision on Interstate 30 near Friendship on Wednesday. Arkansas State Police are continuing to identify those involved and notify family members.

Weather conditions were rainy and road conditions wet at the time of the accident.
