I-40 Collision Claims the Life of Gabriel Saterfield

26-year-old Gabriel Micah Saterfield (Fort Smith, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Sunday, August 29, 2021.

At approximately 2:20 a.m. Mr. Saterfield’s vehicle (2013 Chrysler 300) was stopped in the lefthand lane of Interstate 40 near mile marker 129 due to a prior accident. According to the police report, “[Mr. Saterfield] attempted to re-enter the vehicle and was struck” by a westbound vehicle (2011 Ford F-150). Mr. Saterfield’s vehicle was pushed off the roadway and the westbound Ford vehicle began to roll multiple times before coming to a final rest on I-40.

24-year-old Cole Flowers (Vilonia, AR) sustained injuries in the accident and was transported with injuries to Baptist Health Medical Center in Conway.
