90-year-old Elizabeth Hopkins (Russellville, AR) was fatally injured in a single-vehicle accident on Tuesday, August 21.
The accident took place in 27000 block of State Highway 7 North in Pope County. At approximately 5:10 p.m., Ms. Hopkins was a passenger in a 2018 Buick driven by 87-year-old Lee Hopkins (Russellville, AR). Their vehicle was northbound on State Highway 7 when they failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and left the roadway. Their vehicle went down an embankment and struck a tree.
Weather and road conditions were unknown according to a police report.
