64-year-old Steven Dale Sands (Lake Jackson, TX) was fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Sunday, September 15, 2019.
Shortly before 12:00 p.m. Mr. Sands was traveling east on State Highway 16 in Pope County when he lost control of his motorcycle (2013 Ducati Diavel) while navigating a sharp curve. Mr. Sands’ motorcycle slid approximately 41 feet before striking a road sign.
Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
