Pulaski County Wreck Takes the Life of Demaron Hammock

32-year-old Demaron V. Hammock (Conway, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Tuesday, March 5.

At approximately 4:12 a.m. Mr. Hammock was traveling east on Highway 440 E preparing to turn north onto Highway 161. 34-year-old Darwin Cribbs (North Little Rock, AR) was driving south on Highway 161 (Rixey Road). Mr. Hammock attempted to turn onto Highway 161 but his vehicle (2005 Chevrolet) turned into the path of Mr. Cribbs’ vehicle (2003 Lincoln).

An unidentified minor was a passenger in Mr. Hammock’s vehicle.

Those injured were transported to Arkansas Children’s Hospital and UAMS.

Conditions at the time were reportedly clear and dry.
