Vehicle Fleeing Police Causes Fiery Collision near Conway

51-year-old Christopher Clay (Little Rock, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Thursday, October 22, 2020.

Shortly before 7:30 a.m. Mr. Clay was fleeing Faulkner County Sheriff’s Department “for unknown reasons” when his vehicle crossed the centerline of Highway 64 near Faulkner County Fairgrounds. Mr. Clay’s vehicle (2015 Honda Accord) struck the front end of an eastbound 18-wheeler (1996 Kenworth T6) before rotating and sliding underneath the semi-truck.

Both vehicles caught fire immediately. The driver of the Kenworth 18-wheeler was able to exit the semi-truck.

Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
