1 Dead in Fatal Collision at Lake Hamilton RV Park in Hot Springs

81-year-old Charles Coburn (Hot Springs, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Monday, November 21, 2022.

Shortly before 4:30 p.m. Mr. Coburn was inside an RV parked at the Lake Hamilton RV Park along Thornton Ferry Road. A southbound vehicle (2018 Ford F250) crossed the centerline before leaving the roadway. The Ford vehicle entered the RV park and collided with Mr. Coburn’s RV.

Charles Coburn’s RV was forced into a second RV, whose residents were also inside the RV at the time of the accident. Mr. Coburn sustained fatal injuries in the collision.

An additional RV occupant sustained injuries in the collision: 66-year-old Paula Paul (Hot Springs, AR) was injured. The driver of the Ford vehicle, 37-year-old Daniel Chavez (Hot Springs, AR), also sustained injuries in the collision.

Those injured were transported to CHI St. Vincent in Hot Springs.
