PEOPLE > PROPERTY
Check to see if anyone is injured- call 911 if so Call the Police
Police report will help when filing for insurance
If minor accident, police may not come…but let them decide
Move the car
But DON’T MOVE if car is not operational or in danger of fire/explosion
Talk to the other driver
Collect their NAME, ADDRESS, CONTACT INFO, DRIVERS LICENSE NUMBER, LICENSE PLATE NUMBER, AUTO INSURANCE INFO
Take some photos of the damage and surrounding errors
Assess your pain
Call an ambulance for serious injuries such as major bleeding, head injuries, difficulty breathing
Evaluate minor aches and pains to avoid long-term effects
Later developing pain can be seen to after the initial decision
