BRADI’S NOTES : WHAT TO DO AFTER A CAR WRECK

Woah, March really snuck up on me. It felt like I wagged my tail twice and suddenly March is here….and you know what that means, don’t ya? TEST TIME!

3…2…1…CRASH!

  • PEOPLE > PROPERTY
  • Check to see if anyone is injured- call 911 if so Call the Police
  • Police report will help when filing for insurance
  • If minor accident, police may not come…but let them decide
  • Move the car
  • But DON’T MOVE if car is not operational or in danger of fire/explosion
  • Talk to the other driver
  • Collect their NAME, ADDRESS, CONTACT INFO, DRIVERS LICENSE NUMBER, LICENSE PLATE NUMBER, AUTO INSURANCE INFO
  • Take some photos of the damage and surrounding errors
  • Assess your pain
  • Call an ambulance for serious injuries such as major bleeding, head injuries, difficulty breathing
  • Evaluate minor aches and pains to avoid long-term effects
  • Later developing pain can be seen to after the initial decision
