Highway 18 Collision Claims the Life of Bobby Towery

53-year-old Bobby Benson Towery (Manila, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Saturday, January 1, 2021.

At approximately 6:52 p.m. Mr. Towery was traveling east on State Highway 18 near Bowman in the righthand lane of traffic. A westbound vehicle (2019 Dodge Ram) crossed the center turn lane and entered the eastbound lanes of traffic just east of State Highway 135. The westbound Dodge vehicle collided with Mr. Towery’s vehicle (2008 Chevrolet Silverado).

40-year-old Jennifer McDorman (Paragould, AR) was a passenger in Mr. Towery’s vehicle at the time of the accident and sustained injuries in the collision. 36-year-old Christopher Allen Ellis (Brookland, AR) was in the westbound Dodge vehicle and sustained injuries in the collision.

Those injured were transported to NEA Baptist Hospital.

Weather conditions were cloudy and road conditions wet at the time of the accident.
