Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle on Highway 363 in Arkansas

61-year-old Beverly Jane Jones (Atkins, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.

At approximately 7:19 p.m. Ms. Jones was struck by a vehicle (2014 Infiniti) in the eastbound lane of traffic on State Highway 363 in Pope County near Atkins. According to the police report, the vehicle began to slow due to a dog in the roadway. The vehicle then struck Ms. Jones. Reportedly, “[Ms. Jones] was walking in the traffic lane” when she was struck by the vehicle.

Conditions were clear and dry.
