5-Vehicle Collision on Hwy 67 Claims the Life of Anadelly Villegas

49-year-old Anadelly Villegas (Searcy, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Sunday, September 29, 2024.

At approximately 3:58 a.m. Ms. Anadelly Villegas, of Searcy, was a passenger in a vehicle (2006 Volkswagen GTI) stopped in traffic along US 67/167 North near Ward, Arkansas. A northbound 2009 Honda Accord failed to stop and struck Ms. Villegas’ vehicle from behind. The crash caused a chain reaction that affected 3 additional vehicles: a 2018 Toyota Tundra, a 2012 Kia Optima, and a 2012 Honda Crosstour.

Ms. Anadelly Villegas sustained fatal injuries in the crash.

Seven additional drivers and passengers were injured in the collision.

55-year-old Fernando Farfan (Searcy, AR) was driving the Volkswagen vehicle and sustained injury. Additionally, 37-year-old Ontario Allen (Pine Bluff, AR), 22-year-old Logan Smith (Little Rock, AR), 29-year-old Gene Given, 41-year-old Lilbet Hernandez (Houston, TX), 35-year-old Rafael Mejias (Houston, TX), and 35-year-old Vicente Gonzalez (Houston, Texas) also sustained injuries in the accident.

Those injured were transported to UAMS in Little Rock.

Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
