An unidentified female minor was fatally injured in an accident on Thursday, December 26, 2024.
At approximately 3:10 p.m., the minor was a passenger in a vehicle (2017 Chevy Malibu) traveling north on Highway 71 in wet weather. The Chevy vehicle lost control on wet roads before crossing the centerline and colliding with a southbound vehicle (2022 Ram 1500).
Additionally, 19-year-old Chloe Walters (Huntington, AR) and 58-year-old Daran Stovall (El Paso, AR) sustained injuries in the accident. Those injured were transported to Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith.
Weather conditions were rainy and road conditions wet at the time of the accident.
