Motorcycle Accident on Sunset Ave in Springdale Claims Biker's Life

38-year-old Justin Craig Fernandez (Rogers, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Thursday, June 2, 2022.

At approximately 5:35 a.m. Mr. Justin Fernandez was traveling east on Sunset Avenue (US 412) just east of I-49 in Springdale. An MCI Tour Bus (2013) exited the parking lot of the Doubletree Hotel attempting to turn left into westbound traffic but stopped, blocking the eastbound lanes of traffic.

Mr. Fernandez attempted to brake but his motorcycle (2022 Harley Davidson) struck the tour bus in the eastbound lanes of traffic. Mr. Fernandez was transported to Washington Regional Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries.
