Highway 5 Wreck Claims the Life of Steven Parsons

69-year-old Steven Parsons (Conway, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Thursday, July 30, 2020.

Shortly before 1:30 p.m. Mr. Parsons was traveling south on State Highway 5 (Little Rock Road) near Rosebud when his vehicle left the roadway near Piney Creek Road and struck a tree.

53-year-old James Slaughter (Mount Vernon, AR) sustained injuries while a passenger in the vehicle during the accident and was transported to Baptist Hospital in Heber Springs.

Weather conditions were cloudy and road conditions dry at the time of the accident.
